My husband saw a bird fly off a nest in the woods, and found 4 brown speckled brown eggs. I went back to check the next day and couldn't find them. We went back together and this is what we saw. It is a woodcock. Does anyone know how long they sit for? I want to be sure the guineas, dog and kid all stay away when they are supposed to hatch.

She is a little to the right and below the center of the picture.

I see her. The camo is incredible. The incubation period is 20 to 22 days. Nice find!
