Can you sex a chick by the amount of space between it's tail feathers?

Hi,
I have 2 chicks that are 5 1/2 wks. old.

I remember reading on here sometime that the amount of space between the tail feathers can indicate the sex of the chick.

Does anyone know? I can't keep any more roos.
 
Where did you see it? I don't remember reading that...

ETA: By 5.5 weeks you should already be seeing the beginnings of gender. A few pics would help, more pointers would be the combs, wattles, how fast they were to feather out... etc.
