I was told that you can sex new chicks that are less than 24 hours old by the length of the primary wing feathers. Females will have feathers of different lengths and males will have all the same length. Is this an accurate way to sex day old chicks? Or is there a better way. I have tried venting and can not figure it out. I have also been told if you hold them by the head and they hold their feet straight down then they are female and if they curle their feet up they are males. I'm New here trying to figure out a good way to sex my day old chicks. Please Help!

They have to be bred for it.
You can read more about it here [its down at the bottom, it's called Feather Sexing]

Thank You Chris. I was affraid that it would something like that. Unfortunalty I have a wide variety of crosses in my chicks and there is no way of knowing what the genotype of the chicks are. I guess I will have to play the waiting game and see what they look like as they grow.
