Can you take a hen to a rooster for "stud" service?

I have been curious too about how long a breeding lasts. I wondered if it was one lay equal to one layed egg! My rooster is always jumping on the ladies. They run when they see him coming! LOL

I believe you can buy a Velcro collar for a roo to prevent a full crow. He can still crow but not with force. May be better for neighborhood chickens.
