Can you tame a Button (chinese) quail and how?

I wanted to know if you could tame a Button quail and how?
It really depends on the quail itself, I find that the female buttons are more comfortable with petting. I have a male button that lets me scratch his chin and cheeks but not pet haha. But you can tame them by just spending a lot of time with them. It takes a lot of patience though, a few weeks for them to warm up with you, maybe a few days if you spend a lot of time with them. Give them treats so that they will eventually know you aren't a threat like mealworms, greens, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, millet, and fruits (change up the variety, they're curious about new things). Use your hand when feeding so they'll get used to you, not tweezers. If you hold the food with your fingers in a specific shape (hook index finger, thumb on top for me, like getting ready to flip a coin) they might run towards you if you make the shape even without food if you feed them like that for long enough. This helped me a lot when my buttons would escape or walk too far out, I just do the treat signal and they come. Just be an overall good owner, give them attention, a clean cozy habitat, a good female/male social circle, give them fun toys to pay attention to (no mirrors), maybe talk to them. I made a tiny cardboard slide, and give them an occasional water/dust bath, tie veggies/millet on string, some plants, and stuffed animals. Make sure to give them a lot of hiding places, especially if you have an energetic male with a female button. Good luck!
