can you tell a cockeral by tiny spurs....

My two week old chicks have little tiny spurs...does that mean they are Roo's???
I have never heard of being able to tell by this method...it just seems too easy....
 
Nope...pullets and cockerals both have those tiny little bumps......cockerals take months for theirs to mature, I know alot longer than it takes a pullet to lay an egg!!....

What kind of chick is Elf? I can only see his body...not his head... Very cute though

Elf 's legs are dark and he has 4 toes...seems to be feathering out gray...I will take a new pic of him since he is now almost two weeks...I will try and post it tomorrow...
