Can you tell birds from a single breed apart?

I have light, dark and buff brahmas. When they were littler, it was harder to tell the hens of each color apart. Now that they are older (2 yrs.) it's easier because I'm not looking so much at what they look like, but how they walk, how they hold their head, where they are in the flock, etc.
Now I can name any of them from across a field, except for two of my dark hens. I have to be standing pretty close to them to see that one carries her body just a tad bit different from her sister.

I am too OCD to like mixed flocks. I want them all segregated by variety so I can compare them against their variety mates. I would even do it after they have feathered out as young chicks. There is order in this world and we must follow it, haha
