Well what is this supposed to mean?
I went to give my "babies" their good night treat and the chick I've been asking is a roo, bit my wrist and wouldn't let go. I took her/him and held him... then let him down and tried again with the treats and he did again! so enough with the treats... all the hens then seemed upset....
I had the same question about my identitical chicken. Everyone said she was a he. Very disappointed as well. Here is a pic of mine:
When yours was a chick, did it have a green spot on it's head? Mine did and people told me that that is how some of the hatcheries mark their roosters. At the feed store, they told me that they were pullets.
Here is my Easter Egger pullet who is about 12 weeks old. NO pink in the comb at all yet. Yours is a boy, too, sorry. The feedstore probably didnt care and put them all in together.
Both apparent-roos are smashingly beautiful!
I once had an EE roo with somewhat similar coloring & think it's very pretty. I've been trying now to get the closest recognized color to that in large fowl Ameraucanas (Blue Wheaten). I'm having a very hard time, though.
