Can you tell how many hens are laying by their eggs?

We have six hens and just started getting eggs! The only problem is I have no idea who is laying, or how many are actually laying. Here are the eggs from the past two days, any guess of how many chickens we have actually laying from them?

5 eggs in 2 days from young hens who are just begining to lay...
my guess is 3 to 4 hens produced those eggs.

Spazzy, to determine if a hen is laying, feel the pelvic bones located UNDER the ven. If you can place 3 fingertips between the bones, the hen is laying, only one and the hen is not laying. You must adjust for pullets and bantams as their eggs are smaller, thus not as much room between the bones, but as you have at least one that isn`t laying yet, you have something to compare. It`s easy and you don`t have to get your fingers dirty. Try it..........Pop

I have always looked to see how red their combs are,,that is usually a good indication of who is or will be soon laying.
