Can you tell me how old they are, and other questions.

We have some ants in the kitchen our 2 week old chicks are eating right now

Organic pest control!

I did not know what I was doing so I fed my Chickie spiders from the first day I found her (Im guessing she was about a week old then). She also started on cooked carrot and hamburger. I didnt have any chick food that first night and she was starving. She seems fine at week 5, and prefers bugs and human food to chick starter.

Chicken starter is exciting to a really hungry chick, but they seem to want to eat everything else just as much. I quit using bedding with the youngest ones for that reason. It bugged me like crazy to see them scratch the food out of the bowl - like picking for something better and then eating whatever bedding there was. When they are feathered out pretty well they get TNT Hay for bedding, but before that they live on shelf liner.

Layer seems to be hens least favorite food too.

Yep, these days I have to search really hard to find her a spider. My house is so clean of bugs! Chickie is having to accept pill bugs from under my neighbor's flower pot as a substitute for my lack of spiders.
