Hey guys! I have several threads about this girl. She is having a rough time, but I have been telling people I think she's 8 years old. When we got her, she was still laying some, so I was thinking 2-3. That was about 5 years ago, but really I'm just guessing. Here is pic I have on hand from another thread, but I can get better pics later. Thanks for you thoughts!
Ps. She isn't nearly as dirty, or messy as in this pic. I cleaned her up and got better shelter in there, etc, etc. She is much better now, but still has feather damage, and a few other things I am try gin to figure out. Thanks!

I have no clue of the age? If you could avoid getting baby oil in her eyes? You could wipe her feathers down with a soft hand towel? I do that for my chickens it kinda weather proofs them for a few days if they get into rain. You are at your own risk, what works for me, might not work for you? Very kind of you for looking after her.
Thank you. I have her dry and with lots of shelter now. She is doing better, but still having issues.

Diatomaceous Earth (food grade) Look into how to use that with chickens.

DE can actually cause issues in poultry, and doesn't help with worms. Almost all the experienced members on here suggest not using it.
Do you think that you could post these ideas on the worming thread? Then we can keep this thread open for age ideas. :)

I have a few other threads about it, I will link them here. Mostly not gaining weight, she's only 5 pounds so skinny. You can read more about it in the threads I will link. Thanks for you concern! ☺️

Well, I am wondering why you would start so many threads on the same hen?

Apart from getting people confused that are trying to help, it makes it much harder to gather all information you gave about her and the information people give in their answers to help. At least that is how I see it.

The first one I stared specifically on her in general, then it petered out and didn't get replies. After that, I wanted a thread specifically on worm treatment, but in the end it ended up being for everything. I no one posts on the original thread anymore, only the worming one. :)

That's all anyone else could do.......and it's crap shoot.
It's not like dogs and horses where their teeth can tell age.
I know, but I was wondering what the professional thought. I saw someone on another thread guessing by spurs and beak, so I really just wanted to see if anyone else had a guess, and it was close to, or the same as mine.
