Were not sure what animal is doing this? Can you tell me. We used keep our coop doors open at night because we never have had any fatalities with predators but we woke up one morning with those problems on the chicken wire. Luckily we did not lose any chickens. Now I shut the doors every night. Please tell me what animal is doing this. We think it is a raccoon or apossum. We live in Florida. Tell me what you think.

M to the Maxx, this is something I used a while ago to find out who was my late night visitor, I sprinkled flour on the ground where they were digging to get in to the run, next morning they left foot prints and my visitor was a coon, he found a new home in the country

I also lock the girls in at night, it's alot safer.

i know this is extremly gross but an old wise tale is if you pee bye you coop predators stay away because its another animals territory. if that is too gross for you you can buy fox urine at some feedstores

I wish I could but we can't afford to buy one right now.

Animal control will loan you a trap if they have one. They even delivered one to me along with a can of cat food. I trapped the racoon that night!

Good luck to you.
