I was given 11 chickens by a friend who hatched a 4H batch of eggs for homeschooling. 2 of these birds have turned out gorgeous! They both have begun developing combs, but the one with smaller comb is actually bigger in body than the 2nd one who has a bigger comb, but smaller body -- and ironically, taller tail feathers. Can you tell me if one (or both) is a rooster...or are they both hens? Would also love to know if they are a specific breed or mixed? They are 13 weeks old this week.

Thanks!!!

I was guessing maybe Welsummer roosters? I have tried & tried to get a closer shot of them, but them darn chickens just don't hold still for a photo shoot!! LOL

The one with the not normal comb could be mix of welsummer X game and other possible welsummer ? but can't tell from the pic's

The black breasted red color is the same as a Welsummer roo, but nothing else fits. Leg color and comb are off, and that one bird has a long horizontal tail. The body types are too light/rangy. They look game mix to me.
