Can you tell me what color these ORPINGTON's R? >>>UPDATE AT 16 WEEKS

Well I hope whatever they are that they are splash and blues! Now I'm really curious. If anyone has a clue let me know. I will keep pics updated here as they dry off...maybe that will help. The first born come running to me when he sees me through the incubator top! So cute!

Pictures through the incubator top can be deceiving but, here's some of my BLRW chicks.

The second one looks like a blue EE chick I hatched out recently.

Then here's a couple more that are more of the wheaten color.

Maybe you could contact her and ask what other breeds she's got. That could help you figure it out. Earlier this spring I bought some SLW eggs. Well, when they hatched I could tell right away they weren't SLWs. I contacted the seller and he informed me I didn't know what show quality SLWs looked like! I tried to tell him they had feathered legs and were the wrong color....I asked him what other kinds he had.....and he's refused to answer me since then. I finally found his website and he has buff brahmas too...mystery solved. Maybe she'll be more willing to talk to you about it than he was with me.

i just looked on her website and the blue orp roo she has shown looks off somehow it could be just the picture but??? she also has freerange chickens so maybe she didnt wait long enough after a free roo mated an orp hen? could just me mixed right?

you know I was trying to see the combs on the chicks and I can clearly see that the one has a single comb but the other I swear looked like a rose comb. I will wait for a day or so to be sure tho. Is it possible to get both combs in a hatch of eggs that come from the same parents?
