Can you tell me what these are?

My kids went to go put the chickens up for the evening behind the electric fence and noticed one chicken standing alone and not moving. They went and got her and brought her to me and she pooped on the back porch and these things were in it.

Does anyone know what they are? And what to do.

I do. I just dewormed my whole flock! I have NEVER seen anything like these things before.

She pooped these things out? The poo wasn't sitting there for a bit? Looks kind of like gnat larvae.

I had never heard of a fly strike!! I thought she pooped them out because I was standing next to her when she pooped and I saw them. But they must of came off of her while she pooped.

My husband and I went and looked at her good and she is covered underneath with those things!!!

So I guess it is a fly strike.

Poor thing! Yeah Fly strike is absolutely disgusting. Must have been maggots. I hope you can clean her up real good and get her healthy again.

Those are maggots, not intestinal parasites, check her vent for fly larvae and start treating for fly strike!
