Hello, chickenfolk,
After visiting a couple local county fairs, I just had to have some bantams. Stopping by a feed store, I was overjoyed to see they had a group of "Bantam Special Straight Run" chicks freshly arrived. There was a one-day waiting period, so of course I went by the next day after work and picked out the best I could based on outward vigor and color. I have since learned that "Special" simply means they were on sale as a mixed group of extras.
I'm guessing you can possibly tell what you've got by comparing baby pics. I'm *guessing* I might have some Silver Sebrights and BB Reds (hopefully a Duckwing--my fav!). Can anyone here be able to take a more educated guess than my newbie one?
Thanks!
