Canada goose missing

Glad to meet you, Dawn, and welcome to BYC. I am so sorry about that missing goose. What an awful hole in your heart that must be! :hugs We do get so attached, whether they are domesticated or they domesticate us! Please let us know if the goose comes back (either soon or maybe in the spring!)

Also in Canada and have seen the geese heading south the last few weeks
My hope is he found a group and went with. Maybe he knows something we don’t and winter will be to much for him this year. Hopefully he returns in spring or soon if he didn’t migrate.
 
When the winter wind starts blowing, these beautiful creatures know instinctively to fly. I can tell by the distinct call of the trumpeter swans that migrate overhead that a big snow is coming. My guess is that this wonder of nature has moved on to find a mate. Don't be surprised if it shows up with a mate and has a brood clutch in Spring. Welcome to BYC! and thanks for joining us. :love
