Canada goose question

Why do Canada geese act like they can't see at night? When they try grabbing food out of my hand they act like they can't see and keep opening their beaks.

It may have nothing to do with the geese and more to do with you. Do you approach them with a light? A sudden change in lighting could cause the pupils to react suddenly. Much like if someone shines a light at you when you've been in the dark.

I don’t know much about Canada geese except there is another species which looks quite similar to them (can’t remember name).
