Canadian Bed & Breakfast closing when told can't serve home-grown eggs

When the provincial Department of Health told the owners of a Bed & Breakfast they could no longer serve eggs from their 75 hens, they decided to close the business.

How ridiculous is that? And, um, last year when there was a salmonella outbreak in eggs, wasn't that in "Federally Inspected Eggs?" (Yes I know it was in the US but still....)
