I have a breeding pair of bourbons (or at least the male seemed to be a male, before we got a hen...) assuming so we will be selling some. Check with Tony or Corinne at Circle Pond Farm in Chester (google it) for your other stuff... their web site if fairly comprehensive. Be careful about the orpington and americaunas if you purchase from a breeder in my area (central NS)... I got none of what I actually ordered and she cut off further communications.
Karin Robertson on the Martime Breeders list is pretty good too... I think thats where I got my tom (
) bourbon, she has quail as well.
Also try Albertachickns ... there is a Stacey (I belive) in AV who has many breeds... can't think of the name of her spot.

Tony and Corinne live in Chester Basin, its 45 minutes from you.
Karin is great to respond but she is on dial up... she is in the gaspereau mountains on some crazy back road...
Cute web site and lovely girls... best find them some wellies soon!...
I see a berk muddling his way through him pen, we did those this year. Currently have two 3/4 tam 1/4 berk, and a pure tam; will breed them in the spring.... I did goat and lamb last year too, lovely characters they are. What breed is your group? Karin does goats and lamb as well.
So by Limey and Limette can I safely assume we have more brits to add to the collection?
Mapquest says it's 1hr 30 minutes. Regardless hubby isn't too keen on driving that far and I don't drive at all. We'll see. Have you ever ordered from Performance? Do they ship Canada Post here or just via West Jet?
Alway buy local... I presume they will ship day olds though.
I think if you cut across by Kentville you would be closer.... but there is a guy in Berwick that has turkeys and perhaps chickens too... he advertises on Kijiji, name of Matt?
Karin may be the safe bet for you or Tony is very accomodating, its 75 minutes for us but a couple of weeks ago they brought some ducks to us when coming into the city... I just brought a cage from home and met them (we travel to the city for work each day)... they also show at all the poultry shows (and win too), if you find one close to you they may be winning to bring some to you.
Tell the hubby that the drive is very nice, its good for kids and wives to see the outside world! lol
Lol I wish, the baby does not like the car seat. I'd normally be up for a long drive but having to listen to him scream for the long is enough to make me want to jump out the window!

We have two girls and a baby boy. They are loving it here! We definitely need to get some rain boots for them. The pig is a berk/tam cross. She's lovely.
Hoping to get sheep in the spring. The goats are saanen/nubian cross and I think 2 nubian/alpine crosses.
Dh is the Brit. I'm originally from Sault Ste Marie Ontario but we moved here from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
