Hi, I looking for some hatching eggs from exhibition quality, Bantam Black Wyandotte. I live in Cape Breton, this is for my 4-H poultry project. We would like to have a couple of suppliers in place for March or April.Thanks

How does work to buy/import chicks across the border?

It depends on where you are trying to import from
I know that to get hatching eggs from the states it requires the breeder you are getting them from to have a NIP certification as well as the whole flock have been tested by a vet in the last 6 months
Check under the import laws

Interesting! I wasn't aware of that. I am going to look into it some more. Maybe there is some hope to get a Cream Legbar or two, then. I'd love a CL rooster for my mixed flock.

Hi Yoker ..as my name says it .I have Barred Plymouth Rocks .I also have a pair of india Blue peafowl . I would also like to find some Blue plymouth Rocks , but It looks like the only breeders are in the states .. dont know if it would be worth while persuing with all the border paperwork .may be some day . I live in Cardigan on the beautiful island Of P.E.I.
