I have a small farm in NC with chickens, ducks, & geese. I would like to get NPIP certified. Here's my question. There is a pair of resident canadians living on the property that were here when I moved here. They are wild but they are just as tame as my other birds. I could easily catch them and have them tested along with the rest of the birds, or I could leave them on the pond and not have them tested. Obviously, it's not legal to "own" wild geese and I don't want to tangle with NC Wildlife or be accused of illegally owning them. They just live here. What should I do?

If they are not "papered" then they are "wild" birds and you cannot legally have them tested. Advise the NPIP rep that you have very tame, wild geese that hang around and get some advice from them.
