We live in the country on a lake and have a Canadian goose family with four goslings. The goslings are 8-9 weeks old and the parents have been trying to teach them to fly for the past three days. Three of them fly just fine. One of them flew with the family the first day and landed in a fenced in area. She was horrified but we opened the back gate and gently corralled her out and back to her parents. She has refused to take any more flight lessons since then. Is this normal? She is eating and drinking and seems to be physically ok but walks around with her head down lagging behind others almost as if she is ashamed and depressed. Is it possible she is sick? Is this normal??
