What breeds do you have?

Nothing as of yet, but I came across a fantastic opportunity where I will be receiving 3 hens with their chicks, as soon as those chicks have hatched, all from the same flock. They should all be coming my way within the week. My husband is currently getting the coop and fenced area all setup for the ladies, and I'm so very excited to be finally having the opportunity to start this new adventure.

I appear to have one Ameraucana, the youngest who has taken to jumping on my Cohin and pecking her head! Also chases her a lot! Is this normal?? I have her seperated from flock now.

Sounds like just a nasty bird. Mine get along quite well with all the other birds, and are typically a little more standoffish than the Australorps. One of my priorities is behaviour, so I just cull the ones with social issues.

Lol! One that lays pretty blue eggs! She is not happy about her confinement! Lol! If this doesnt work....i will rehome her.

If you separate her for a week of two, the reintroduce her, she will be treated like a new member of the flock and will have to start at the bottom of the pecking order. Hopefully it will be enough to change her attitude!
