I'm wondering why you chose muscovies? Curiosity only, no advice or criticisms! We have a small flock of Welsh Harlequins for eggs--they are awesome--and we just did our first 25 Pekins for meat this year. We love ducks! We're in Western Manitoba, near Riding Mountain Park.

Hi! We are considering muscovies after doing some reading and talking to some folks. We are on a few wooded acres with neighbours about 100 yards each side. We like the low noise of the birds and the pest control they offer. We havent done more than research at this point as we figure out location of the coop, fence if needed etc. Then we need to figure out if we will go past the "pet" stage and into the production side. This forum has been wonderful for creating a checklist.

Hi Vanessa. We just moved from Brantford after most of our lives there. Great, growing city. And countryside is really nice. Close to Lake Erie etc. Enjoy it!
