Canadians check in here....

My biggest tip is to have lots of chickens so they keep themselves warm.

Haha good tip!!
I have reached my hand in to pet them when i close the coop door for the night., and i cant believe how much heat they produce. They always seem soo warm and snuggled together. That'll be a good thing when they see their first winter lol!

Hi Guys

Anyone know where you would get a necropsy done on a chicken near Niagara Falls, Ontario and any idea of cost? Asking on behalf of a member with a very sick cockerel that probably isn't going to make it.

Cheers

Barbara

Hello fellow Canucks!

I am a very new member and i don't have any chickens yet. quite frankly i just have no idea where to get them as i am, and have always been *sniff* a city girl.

I live in Ottawa and i am planning my foray into the wonderful world of urban chicken keeping! I will be building my tractor this weekend and Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction for aquiring chicks or pullets.

This looks like a wonderful place and i am starting to get excited about raising a hen or 2.

GO HABS GO!!!!
We got ours from Home Hardware in Leitrim.

I'm in Horsefly BC. Hi everyone

Does anyone know where I can get some hatching eggs sent to me??
Can you find someone nearby with chickens, who would sell some to you for hatching?
