That's awesome. I love the shade on that blue egg.That stinks, Mortie! I got a surprise when I just went out and disturbed my broody. There's one pip and possible a second. But the funny thing is that she's been stealing eggs! There are now 11 eggs! I'm pretty sure which are the unfertilized ones from my hens but my markings came off of the fertilized ones so I really can't guarantee I'm right. I'm going to just leave them under her until some hatch.Pretty cool to have 2 hatching simultaneously - one in the coop and one in the incubator. I'm happy to know that I will have 2 chicks so they have each other to grow up with - next will be the question of sex.
Thanks - I really hope that one hatches, I love it too! They are mixed eggs from a local farm. I was told they are white leghorn, Americaunas and RI Red crosses. Curious to see what I get!![]()
When are yours due to hatch?You sound like me. I got my eggs from a mixed flock, tho I have no idea what the adults were. I have a bunch of bantam eggs, one of which is green.
