Candeling and hatching diary.

Ok my eggs I was candling are in lock down there are exactly 60 of them all looked viable when they went in. I will keep everyone posted I believe this may be my best patch ever. I candled one quail egg and my white leghorn eggs I set 3 days ago I can not believe the detail you can see in them it is crazy I will get a picture it really looks like a spider. By the way the quail eggs only set for 16 days before they go into lockdown. Let me know if you are interested in seeing pics the whit would be great to follow.

I wouldn't do it I would leave them I have tried to help in the past and if the chick was not able to get out on its own it will not be strong enough to survive I try not to help unless they are at the internal pip stage I had healthy chicks hatch on their own at day 25
I have 2 eggs that are now on day 23 and have not hatched. There is movement in the egg tho. is it ok to help them crack the egg. Please help

Good luck dannicorth!

Day 19 on lockdown for set one, no pips yet that I can see. Can't see much through the tiny incubator window though.

Second set, took this photo of one of my duck eggs from my own ducks! This is going to be a rouen/indian runner cross. Sorry about the crummy shot, used a crummy camera.
