Candle Making question

Hello Candle Makers!

I had made some candles years ago and found that the scent that I used in them wasn't really strong enough. And I had put more than the recommended amount in. How much scent do you put in yours? What brand do you use?
I would really love to start making candles again as extra income. Can you profit from this? If I remember correctly, the supplies were expensive. Where do you get your supplies from? I had just gotten a kit from Michaels.

i buy my kits and extras off of ebay, only place here that sells candle stuff is walmart maybe and joanns but joanns is expensive. i mostly use fragrance oils and use 1-1.5 oz of scent per pound which makes them about triple scented. could not tell ya the brands they r bought in bulk and rebottled i smaller ounces. i've never profitted from it but i do it as a hobby for me and my family and friends. i do it for enjoyment, fun and for gifts.
