Not sure how to do this and can I hurt the eggs. Can someone explain the best way to do this. Thanks for your time.

And candling is easy. I use a high powered flashlight, and take the egg into a dark room (I go in my bathroom b/c it has no windows, and if I shut the door its completely black), place the flashlight directly against the egg and you should get a pretty good outline and/or visible details!

Thank you very much. At what day is it best to do this she has been sitting for about 4 or 5 days.

Thanks, I am new at this chicken thing. The kids wanted them so now I got stuck taking care of them and now I am loving it. Just trying for my first set of chicks so this will be my second home

Chickens are a great hobby (and they lay eggs, which is a great perk). I hope this hatching goes well for you!

Thanks I am up to 8 eggs aday. Think I will put about 12 under her and keep bringing the rest in for breakfast. Lol they are some good eggs

Keep in mind that the other eggs will be behind in incubation and she probably won't sit for much longer after the first set is hatched. A common problem with my hens. :/

I plan on putting them with her in morning andhopefully she will stay but if not at least I might get 8 chicks from her
