Candled at day 4

Candled at day 4 and I'm worried as only did about 3 but all I could see was the dark yolk is this right does any one have photos of what it should look like ?

Ok you just go to google and type in "eggs candled at day four" and go to images and there you have it!! And as long as the eggs werent clear and didnt have a red ring in them than you are good to go.

You are supposed to candle them at day 7 and up though because you cant really tell at day four. Hope that helped!!

The forums here each have informative stickies at the top of main forum pages. For example click the main heading of "Incubating and Hatching" then at top of the page you'll see informative sticky thread.

Here is a great pictorial and write up from there. And don't worry if your not seeing what's in the photos as it depends on the shell of eggs and how many lumen your candler is and if your viewing in total darkness for this kind of clarity and detail to reveal. I personally don't see anything until day 7 and that's with a 70 lumen led light. Even so I don't toss anything until day 14.

I have been on that thread and on day 4 there should be a red thing with lots of lines coming off mine doesn't look like that it looks like day 2 just the yolk with a little red dot
