Candled eggs day 8 is my chick dead?

Hello I candled my egg tonight and what I saw was a black got on the side of the egg 1 vein and a large ring around it. Its day 8 is it dead?

Leave it in and candle on day 18.

Do you only have the one egg? Candling is way easier when you have other eggs to compare with.

They are fine. Just candle again on lock down day and remove non fertilized eggs.

Sounds like you've got a blood ring which means the chick has died.
