UPDATE today : 5/2/10
I have 8 bouncing fluffy butts! ... they are absolutely adorable - and what a beautiful weekend to hatch I didn't have to worry about heat lamps or wetness - ... (thank goodness)

Waiting on These ::: (I got lucky - and another hen went broody a few days ago -- when the "momma" got up to bring her babies to the food - I swiped these eggs and put them under the other broody - gives everyone the best chance of making it

Some of the eggs, especially the clearer ones dont show any veining or any signs of development. The darker ones where you cant see thru them look like they have something in there. There are some that show veining but very little development. If they are due in a few weeks, doesnt look like very many are fertile. Are they under a broody? Hope everything goes well for you.

Now this is just my gues but, number 1 to 6 are no good. What I did was go down the page and count them that way.
7 though 13 look good to me.

14 and 15 could have blood rings but it could be from the way they are laying

16 I think is good
and the rest I think are no good.

I hope someone else gets on here and can help you out.

Thanks everyone ... I know the first ones were empty (but I left them anyway ... ) paranoid that maybe there is/was ... better safe than sorry I guess

I'll do it again monday (that'll be day 17) ... and keep track of them a little better ...

These eggs were shipped - I ordered 12 (6 of each) and the wonderful lady sent 18

And yes, they are under my broody (you can see her in her "nest" on my brooder page

)

It was REALLY neat to see some of the chicks moving

... (hopefully I'll do better with the picture taking - ) ...

Thanks for the pictures. I candled two sets of eggs from two broody clutches recently, and all the eggs looked similar to your second batch of eggs, the ones with the dark blobby shape inside. This is my first go at hatching, so I wasn't really sure what I was looking at.
