So I posted a couple weeks back about my broody BO, and that I decided to give her some fertile eggs to hatch to make herself useful. This is my first time doing this.
Anywho... It is 12 days since I put the eggs under her and attempted to candle them. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I was so amazed to see movement inside the eggs!!! I used a fellow BYC'ers post about candling and compared to what I saw. I think I have 10 eggs developing nicely!!
I'm so excited, I don't know how I'm going to last another week. My BO, Dorothy, is such the good mama...
I moved her into a separate coop that I made out of my daughter's plastic playhouse. The other girls kept laying in with her and I was a little concerned about when the chicks hatch how well they'd do in the elevated coop.
