candleing ??

I put them in around 11:00 AM on Nov.28. The bator had been going for over a week when I put them in. These two eggs had spots from the beginning but they were clear spots I candled last week all were fine but now the spots are black. I saw movement in the eggs last time I candled all were developing well. Maybe I am just over concerned I was just thinking I would see movement by now. The temps. and humidity have been good but that is if my thermometer is accurate. It is brand new so you would think it would be?? I will just try and be patient. LOL

Day 22 starts around 11:00 today and still nothing. AHHH I am going cazy.

Come on babies hurry up and pip before i loose it. LOL

Any movement yet? I had a couple last hatch I didn't see move at all and thought they were dead and they hatched first. Have my fingers crossed for you.

Oh and make sure to check under eggs mine pipped on the underside instead of the part facing up.

I checked the eggs and noticed my water dish had a leek. I don't know when or how it happened. It wasn't leaking last time I candled. The bottom of the eggs are damp. With the liner you couldn't tell but when I checked them right now they were all damp on the bottom. Do you think that killed them. I put a sponge in the dish on day 18 and all was fine so it must have happened after that. I am so bummed. Crud I am going to have to buy a real incubator this sucks. I am soo hoping all is well with them.

Oh I don't know I've never had that happen maybe someone will check in that knows more. Is it a homemade bator that you have? If you need more eggs let me know I'll send you a few as a christmas gift.

Do you think that is why a couple had black spots? To much water on the egg?

I can't beleave this. I have babied these eggs and now this. AHHH My hopes were up and was hoping for a little roo. I am going to give them a few more days and then I'll call it off. Shoot. Yeah we will be ordering more eggs but I think I will wait until I get a new bator. My DH loves the pics, Of Zaxby and wanted a roo like him. He has been watching the bator as much as me. Well I guess maybe hatch 3 will be the charm. Do you think I should try and candle and see if there is movement? My bator is homemade so that could be part of the problem.

You could wait a little longer or go ahead and do it very quickly and see if they have pipped the air cell if so hold the eggs to your ear to hear if they are tapping it. Good Luck and if you want some more eggs I'd be happy to send you some more. I have plenty!

I would check a couple of them if its day 22. If temps were correct you should hopefully have pips. Are you sure you marked down the correct day? I have marked down the wrong day before and freaked out lol. Hope you get something.

I feel like a moron. I should have noticed the wettness in the bator. I just put the sponge in and closed it and haven't opened sence. I never thought to check the bottom of it.

Maybe I should post the water on the eggs question again to see if anyone knows if that will cause the chicks to die in the shell??
