What should I see when I "candle" an egg. I'm not using an actual candle. I'm using a pretty strong flashlight. Also When should I start to see something? She's been on them for 1 week tomorrow.

That's a very good link.

As for candling you'll want to do it in a dark room and cup your hand over egg and end of flashlight. Make sure to wash hands well first before handling eggs. It's cool to see the vein development but I mostly candle to keep track of air sack development day 10 to see if humidity adjustment is needed. Also to check for duds come day 18 before lock down.
