I have purchased 18 quail eggs which are now in my Brinsea Eco incubator. 8 days in,
The eggs are all different colors and patterns, will this mean they are not all the same breed of Quail!!! Some are very pale blue
others lite brown to dark brown and others with various spots on !!

I assume you purchased coturnix eggs? They can be any combination of spotted, speckled, or blotched usually in off white with medium to dark brown. They can even be all white. Never saw one pale blue but I know they can be blue on the inside under the browns so maybe yes even pale blue. Each hen will tend to have a "signature" style of egg that she lays so they will look similar through out her life. So yes they can all be the same species of quail. Can you post any pictures of your eggs? Are they all a similar size?

Just hatched my first buttons, eggs were browns and blues, different sizes and some with spots. I didnt notice any big differences when they hatched, sure they are different colours but all buttons!
