Candling at day 6?

Should I candle tonight? Day 6 started this morning for me...or should I hold off and candle between 7 and 10 days? Not sure 1 day will really make a difference. If I candle at day 6 what will I be looking for?

AND lockdown starts on day 18 right????

any help???

Jenifer- Hi I'm not on here much but have some experience.

It will not make a lot of difference to candle on 6, but if you can- waiting would be better as it will be easier to see the more it is developed. Looking for red blood viens from the top(rounded big end of the egg) down toward a dark( shadow like) spot or mass. A air sack at the top of the egg that does not move. If you are lucky maybe a heart beating. Take a peak at one I know the feeling -you are just dieing to know what is happening in there.

Stop turning on day 18... and... don't open the incubator! I've got chicks hatching right now and its very hard not to open it up, but its for the good of the eggs that haven't hatched yet. Looking way back to my first hatch years ago, I know this was one of the things I really messed up on.
