I think my eggs may be fried due to the temperature going to high. I'm new to candling and not sure what I'm supposed see for day 14. I just candled all 38 bantam cochin eggs and 13 were clear. So, I know those were no good and threw them out. The others were just a black mass and air cell. I didn't really see veins or movement, does that mean their dead?

At 14 days they may be developed to the point that veining is not readily apparent. How high and for how long did your incubator go haywire?

I'm not really sure. My temps have been fluctuating this whole hatch as the weather here in GA has been crazy. One day the heat will be on, and the next day the air conditioner. Yesterday afternoon when I went to turn the eggs, my digital read 103 and the thermometer that lays on top of eggs read 110. Both of these thermometers were purchased at walmart, so I'm thinking they may not be very accurate. I left out the thermometer that lays across eggs last night, to see if it would read the same as my air conditioning thermostat in the room. It did not. My room was 70 and the thermometer said 80. Now the digital thermometer that's in the incubator, jumps from 98 to 102 and never in between. No matter what I do.
