Candling dark eggs

Any tips or tricks to candling dark eggs?

Yep... do so in a really dark location (makes a huge difference) and maybe use more than one light.

The little light on my cell phone sometimes gives me a better look than my candler.

Also, I basically end up candling for shadow size and air cell size and that's about it.
