Good luck! I'm still following this thread, hope your twins do fine! If any questions and you need to assist, ask away! I've assist several times and have always been succesful...never on twins, but I'd be glad to help in any way I can! Make sure u have a bowl of cornstarch by the bator (Or hen...I think you said incubator...) and constantly check. With two chicks tryna hatch, one could pip through the others vein, and you wanna quickly put cornstarch around whole area if that happens. Good luck!

Thanks for the cornstarch tip, I will have it on hand. There was still movement in the egg at lock down, so time will tell. I have zero experience with assisting, so I appreciate any advice you have. My first hatch there was one chick that was a close to needing help out ( last to hatch) because the membrane was a little dry, but "Bitty" made it out on her own. This time we have a hand misting device on hand, finer spray than a water bottle and I plan to heat the water. I am hatching these eggs with my 13 year old daughter, been prepping her for the worst just in case.

I am getting nothing done today....eggs are rocking on their own in the incubator and we can't stop watching ;-)

If you do have to go in, take it slow and careful. Getting the chicks out is not a race-all that's important is that they get out. In a minute, or an hour. If you see any blood, stop immediately and apply cornstarch. Tey aren't ready to come out yet. Just make sure you can see two beaks through the hole meaning that they can both breathe. Geed luck, and I'll check frequently to see if I can help in any way!
