The yolk is darker and the germinal disc grows

I can see a little dot! That is where the heart is starting to develop

You can now see more clear development! I will post another update tonight

Spider veins are visible now! I can see the heart beating!!

On January 22nd, 2023, I started incubating Pekin/Khaki Campbell duck eggs. I’ll be posting daily candling pictures every day to look at their development!

1/23/23 Day 2
The yolk is darker and germinal disc expands

1/24/23 Day 3
I can see a little dot where the heart is forming! Tomorrow, i will probably be able to see it beating

1/25/23 Early day 4
The development is definitely more noticeable now, I’ll post another update later tonight because this was taken in the morning

1/25/23 Late day 4
Look at the spider veins! I can very clearly see a little heart beating now

1/26/23 Day 5
Look how much the veins have spread in only 24 hours!! All 7 of my eggs are alive and progressing well, although one is slower than the others

1/27/23 Day 6
There are veins everywhere now! You can see the eye developing and the embryos wiggle around when I candle the eggs
