What day? and if duckling is filling up most of the egg your not going to see veinig anymore just dark where duckling is, and they may be resting when you are candling. Don't give up hope.can one of you help me? I am confused by what I'm seeing in the duck eggs...the coloring looks like what I've read it should...but I can't tell veins or see movement...some of the ducklings look quite big..filling the shell...I'm concerned I don't see movement
Have you seen this? http://www.metzerfarms.com/Candling.cfm and congrats on the peafowl and frizzle eggsI bought these eggs about 1 and a half weeks ago from someone that already had been incubating them....they appear to be a different stages of development....at least 2 are mostly duckling the fluid that remains is the correct color...from what I've read....I bought 12 but 2 turned bad...it was obvious they looked like an oil spill inside....today I can make out some veining on one of the younger ones! I hope I'm reading these eggs right...I had a tragedy with some chicken eggs this last weekend and would rather not relive that for a while! I really appreciate input I haven't ever done duck eggs and they are very different looking inside!
on a happier note...I have peafowl eggs that are showing embryos and veins![]()
and fizzle bantams that have veins!!
