This is my 2nd time hatching eggs.. can you tell me if they are dead or alive?
Egg #1
Egg #2Egg #3 Faintly see the vein.Egg #3You can faintly see the vein?Egg 4 (sorry its blurry)egg 5

best to tell us what you see

what day are you on

on day 7 onwards you will see veins and a moving embryo that mean they are alive

if you see no veins and clear it means infertile or did not germinate

if you see red ring anywhere then it means early death

a black dot with no veins again means early death

You should be able to see movement if you watch the black spot (the eye). They rock back and forth at that stage. I think I do see blood rings in some of the eggs.

my best guess. .

#1 good
#2 is not fertile
#3 dead (it looks more like a blood ring to me than a vein)
#4 good
#5 good

*the black dots are a good sign, they should kind of 'swim' around inside the egg.
*you should be able to tell the difference between blood rings and veins. . veins look just like normal veins and blood rings will just go in a complete circumference around the inside of the egg.
* typically, if you started incubating all your eggs at the same time, they should all be in the same stage of development.

Happy Hatching =)

I have chicken and turkey eggs in the incubator. This is day 3. I don't see anything except a shadow where the yolk is. Also, wondering if the time frame varies in what you would expect to see with turkey and chicken eggs since turkey eggs have one more week of incubation. It's so exciting, I can't wait to see what happens in my incubator!
