Candling Experiment

Yesterday I set a very fresh light colored egg at 12:40 pm. Just candled it (8:30 am) and I *can* see signs of life. I will set another and try to figure out how soon I can tell, but I'm think that with the right set of circumstances, like bright candler, light egg, that one might be able to see development at ~12 hours.

This is amazing! it's day two of an egg that I put in a Tupperware container!

I'll respond so I'm subscribed too. I think there are two major factors. How good is your candler and how easy are the shells to see through. I think you'll get a lot different result with a white egg compared to my darker green eggs. Those are tough.
No doubt! Some of these eggs eggs I'm using are so light that I can candle them without having to go into a dark room.
