i think ive got it !!

Right DEFINATE when you light up your egg there is a shadow with resembles a ball it will float near the top and as you rotate the egg it will move around. I checked for any bits coming off it or any dark spots nothing. Rest of the egg is clear. When cracked it is a normal egg so must of being the yolk. One of these the yolk was almost white but nothing else.

One egg has a blood spot i threw it out.

look at this one baby in centre and a very large blood spot around not sure i left in.

I have 2 eggs i am not sure about there is a dark shadow at the top of the egg no bits or veins but the shadow does not move around as much seems still. This could be a dark shell patch but could be a embryo so i left them

The last 2 eggs have a dark floating blob but have dark spots these i think are cooked but i will leave to see if anything changes (dont draw on the egg where spots are with pencil lolol as when you shine it again you cant see lol) thought i would mark it lolol

OK soo what was i saying the most crass of designs and out of 18 eggs in this one the only duds are the BSilkie which i think where infertile the rest are good to gooooo!! woohooo

GOT rid of the wiggler dont thinkit acurate enough so ill try another approach to that plus they too big lol and i couldnt get the thermometer to stay in lol kept rolling out lol


I can see the dark shadow which clearly shows veins a few have the small central embryo . cant see anymovement but these are 4 days i thinkso early yet for that but alive.

Brought 12 today out of which 3 are already showing a shadow and a embryo so they must have been sat before they removed them soo i guess these will die. we will have to see. i have marked them.

i have wired it to 2 40w bulbs with a dimmer. due to my cooler being a little small i have it suspended from the top by the lights so its quite close to the lights soo i had to set it to go off at 55 due to location etc if i set to 39 the lower temp would be too low. (my 2 computer fans blow onto the bulbs across too the thermostat so its hot at the top) but the digital thermometer is just at the top of the eggs and shows 102 shut off temp of 55 i have no space to place it lower as it is very bulky. not sure i can put in without the case due to fire hazard and damp conditions. only problem with it is it doesnt turnoff till 102f problem is its back on at 96f so very large 6degree range so i dimmer till i get what i want and the thermostat is for emergencys and spikes ! dimmers arent reliable or regular tried 2 full on 25w bulbs didnt get the temperature i needed dont know why when some people are using just 1. maybe too much fanning! i got 2 in wanted 2 bulbs for blow out.

the other box one with one fan larger area is a 40w bayonet and a larger slower fan. holding at 100 just above front row eggs guess it must be cooler at the rear but its working they are all veining! front back and side (at the side of the bulb i just placed 5 spare eggs on the floor no room on rollers tried to give away but couldnt find anyone so i had to put them in somewhere - these are def no turn - just out of interest) the rest are turned via a few rollers there are 2 rollers with elastic bands so each row rolls seperate did try gears but too hard to line them up lol. the poles go out the box so can turn from outside
in my cooler the egg box is on a seesaw type you pull shoe laces thru the top to tilt one way or the other works for me no opening apart from candling lol a simple solution.

Im not sure about his one its extremely dark with what i think is a large blood spot around the centre what do you think??

this one looks a little behind days 4 i guessing or possible blood spot (is what i am seeing correct or is it just the ends to the veining etc like a sac??)

I have brought some new eggs but one is already really dark inside is it possible it has already developed and they removed them all from the hen and this one is already started developing etc. I would guess this could be 12 days etc dark to the top i just wanted to be sure before i remove or have a chick appear ? my turner has to be replaced with a basket for chick safety lol open water . they are from a market that sells fertile so this is definately fertile it could be dead i will candle tonight and see if i can see movement.
