I have 42 eggs in the bator. They are on day 8 and I would really like to know which ones are fertile and which ones aren't. Should I candle them all at the same time?

When I do it I do one row at a time I have a LG bator, That way I don't drop the temp too much at a time. I do the row then wait a few hours or sometimes the next day before i check the next ones. Just so I don't mess up humidity and temp.

What we do is, take out one tray at a time and candle them... That way they are not out as long and will not get as cool.

I don't candle I love the elimate of surprise. Kinda like and ulta sound I never wanted to know what the baby was.

I didnt candle a couple of times and i had 2 eggs explode and ended up all of my chicks died of infections. So I always candle on about day 7 or 8 so i know what going on. That way i can get rid of all the duds. I hand turn my so i took one out at a time and kept my LG shut in b/t so that the temp and stuff didnt go all crazy on me.
