candling info ?

I have an egg that is 7 to 8 days old does this look correct when candled.

or is it a quitter it very dark inside egg so hard to see much any info greatly appreciated

Allthough the pic is not very clear I can see a dark mass that would be the embryo. If you can see veins I would say it's ok. Posting in the incubating and hatching section of the forum would be useful for you. https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-amp-hatching-eggs Any eggs I'm unsure of stay in untill day 14 you can usually tell the quitters by then.

It is hard to see your egg clearly, but I'm leaning towards it being alive/growing.

I thought I had quitters but by day 14 they obviously had more development, and it was really easy to tell those that hadn't developed. They aren't going to go rotten and explode that quickly so I'd just sit on my hands and wait another week and then decide.

I would say that your egg is definitely fertile and is likely developing fine. Good luck with the incubation!
