Ok, so my broody Black Austrolorp is holding steady now @ day 7. I took these pics yesterday.
Here's what you're looking at: 2 brown eggs- by the broody girl herself, 1 green egg - by one of our EE's (don't know which of the 2 though), 1 cream colored egg -by our Ideal 236, all covered by the same giant blue Cochin. All eggs laid on the same day, set on same day.
From what little I've read, I think the green looks good, but the others= not really?
QUESTIONS:
1.Which, if any,look viable?
2.How much longer do I give the duds?
3.If I stick some hatching eggs under her, how will it affect the hatching process for them & the "early" hatchers, if any, that are already started?
What do y'all think ?
BROWN EGG #1
GREEN EGG
CREAM EGG
BROWN EGG #2
Thanks so much for your input!
