@Pyxis looks like the network just didn’t fill the egg. If it hatches, it will likely be really gooey and will hatch super wet. But the goo will harden like a rock, so be sure to clean the face. It will flake off of the feathers with a little rubbing (I brush with a soft dry toothbrush, if necessary, after a day or so of letting the baby work most of it off), but it is tough to clean if it hardens around the eyes and beak. Best to wash the face with a slightly damp towel or cotton ball, shortly after hatch.
